Official Name: Republic of Panama (República de Panamá)
Panama is located in Central America, between Colombia and Costa Rica bordering both the Pacific Ocean and the Caribbean Sea; it has a tropical climate with very little variation in the temperatures year round enjoying a moderate 82° F. Humidity. It has a total area of 75.517 km2 and a total coastal area of 2.490 km.
Panama is divided into nine provinces: ChiriquÃ, Bocas del Toro, Veraguas, Herrera, Los Santos, Coclé, Panamá, Colón and Darién and five Comarcas: Emberá, Kuna Yala, Ngôbe-Buglé, Kuna de Madugandà and Kuna de WargandÃ.

Panama offers a visa to most of its tourists for six months, but you can only drive legally for the first three months. If you want to stay and drive for longer you will need to check out of Panama and check back in.

Camping is possible on any beach in Panama. All beaches are public property from 25 meters to the high tide mark.

Driving in Panama is safe and the roads are normally in good condition, however driving with cautions it is important because of loose cattle. Also, Panama Transit Police has radar technology.

Most rental car agencies do not allow their cars to leave the country.

The water in Panama is safe to drink republic wide.

The bus system in Panama is very good republic wide. However some of the remote beaches are not accesible by buses.
Surfng localism is rarely evident, however the locals expect proper surfing ettiquete from visiting surfers.
